Discs, releasing a 12" EP, a &" & 12", an album & a mini album before moving camps to Cabaret Voltaire's Doublevision label in 1984. The band closed for business in 1985. |

OLD DOG, new mix!
Leather Hands was the first track me & Richard H.Kirk did together. I first performed it at the ZAP CLUB in Brighton. Later, along with COP OUT I supported Cabaret Voltaire on their UK tour, before my own tour of Holland promoting the HOODOO TALK album. It might be old but when i found the original backing cassette, whilst chosing material to perform at WROCLAW INDUSTRIAL FESTIVAL 2011, it still sounded as harsh and abrasive as i remembered. This video was used as the back projection, the audio is live from the Wroclaw, w/ Moog played live by Exploding Mind's Natascha Schampus. |

BACK ON THE WRONG TRACK!! - The Exploding Mind hit Polska & The 10th Wroclaw Industrial Festival with random precision. The Soundcheck was the first time Pete & Nasti (Natascha Schampus) had ever physically played together, but once first blood had been spilled the contract was sealed and they went straight for the jugular, jamming a spanner in the wheels of industry & blistering paint for half an hour of spontaneous combustion. Many thanks to Maciek, who organised this amazing festival, & to all the unblinkered Industrialists who made 11/11/11 a truly phenomenal and memorable day. WRONG REVOLUTION - Don't You Breathe
Reworking of a track originally done by HOODOO (Hope/ Barret / Lloyd) for 'The Friend's Story' which was a Short Film that was part of the 'Battered Britain' series about violence in the UK on BBC2 in 1995 (as far as i remember), directed by Dawn Shadforth. This DeafNoise video was shot at Amhuinnsuidhe, North Harris in the Outer Hebrides in April 2011 By LUNA MENTA & completed at DeafNoise Central, Sheffield. |

THE BOX - N0 Time For Talk.
This was one of several numbers we performed for BBC North's 'Bubbling Under' series. Which on the whole was a pretty lame showcase for northen bands. Most of it was quite poppy, but seeing as we were all over the music press at the time someone must've managed to sneak us in. Muscians Union rates meant it was a well paid gig for us at the time, and great fun too. |

MELTING POT - Something is Wrong
Made on an absolute shoe-string budget, Sean & Steve's early drum & bass tune ended up being used by MTV to advertise their video awards program. Naturally, we got paid zero for the privilege but it got the director Dawn Shadforth noticed by Ridley Scott's company and she went on to become a highly respected and award winning director working with Garbage/ Kylie / The Streets / Goldfrapp / Moloko and on and on. I, on the other hand, got a sore neck. Note of interest is that this was done before anyone had seen the Prodigy video which bore quite a few similarities, there must've been something in the water at that time! |
