SOUP was a project born out of the disintegration of The COMSAT ANGELS.
Their singer had left to manage Gomez,
leaving them in an eternal jam cycle.
After 12 years of studio projects I loved rocking out in a REAL band & it was great to play with seriously good musicians again. An album was recorded in '98 with John Wills (LOOP/HAIR & SKIN TRADING Co./PUMAJAW) on Production duties. But with no management no one stepping up to the helm we spiraled, faltered, fed back & collapsed. At last, what ended up being a pretty damn good album, has had the verdi-gris scraped off & is available both as a physical CD and digital download.
It's really good to be able to get this out at last.
Cheers <> PETE.
